While Marieke, David and Wilko were developing the show in various rehearsal spaces across Europe, I was creating the soundtrack from home. We communicated via zoom and email, regularly sharing videos and sound snippets. This was the language and method of communication we used to collaborate.
Their movement was playful and light but with a delicate urgency. I wanted to create a sense of this in music while also mimicking the sweeping movements of the diabolo which featured heavily throughout.
